Offered is this vintage leather-bound King James Version Bible, published in London by Collins' Clear-Type Press. The Bible has a license date of 1946 (see photo #4) and has a Christmas, 1949 gift presentation date (see photo #3). The Bible includes a "helps to the study of the Bible" section". There are many small indented tabs on the side for easy access, gold-edged pages on all three sides and Jesus' words are printed in red. It has been personalized with the recipient's name stamped on the front cover. There are numerous full-page color and black and white photos and eight pages of color maps. There is a built-in page marker ribbon. The book is approx. 8" x 5" and contains 813 pages in the Old Testament and 248 pages in the New Testament, plus 64 pages in the "helps" section. It is in good to very good condition. The soft black leather cover has light to moderate wear. The gold words on the front and spine are still partially shiny, except for the personalized name, which is mostly faded. The leather cover is well-attached. The black endpapers are mostly clean but have some wrinkles. I see no missing or torn pages and all are well-attached to the binding. The pages are generally clean and clear. The gold on the edges is partially worn off. I see no writing in the book other than the presentation information and the occasional stray pencil mark.
