Original Two Volume Captain John Smith's History of Virginia published by the Franklin Press in Richmond in 1819. All plates present including the magnificent map of Virginia. Map has a tear by right margin but no loss. Paper is nice and flexible and not brittle. Bound in original full leather with gold tooled spines and red labels. Bindings are in very good condition. This is a beautiful set I have owned for about 25 years.

While most will consider this price for a book, it is important to remember that this book is the BEST book on the market, re: the subject. The book was as 'described': in very good condition. The book arrived safely and securely ( the packaging was professionally packed ) albeit with the shipping being somewhat expensive- but this is due to the ridiculous tax duty that my country of residence puts on books of knowledge. I recommend this seller.
