Being offered from the US Geological Survey Library, is this Original Leather Bound Set of Petermanns Geographische Mitteilungen! It starts in the 1850's and goes through the early 1900's USGS had digitized it's library and a few years ago sold the physical books contained in it's library. This publication is know for having some very rare and unusual maps of different locations around the world! I will get more pictures, but right now the books are stored in a number of boxes. The books were beautifully leather bound in the 1800's, and the book shown is an example. All of the books are complete, no maps or other information has been removed. The item was as described and a good value. Once the item was shipped it arrived quickly and in good condition. I had requested a couple of things to be done when packaging this item due to its fragile nature. The seller chose not to pakage this item as requested. Fortunately it arrived intact, but i was still disappointed in the way it was packed. That being said I would buy from this seller again.
