Automobile Legal Association (ALA) ALA was a group organized to defend the automobile and the rights of owners in around 1907. There were anti-automobile groups in the US and Europe early in the 20th century. They came up with some interesting legislation to limit the advancement of the automobile, The ALA fought against those laws and evolved into an assistance group like AAA. The "legal' part included assistance from their lawyers for car owners and their chauffeurs. In the 20s they published touring guides and a magazine called "The Automobilist". I've seen info printed as late as the 50s.

The hat is absolutely gorgeous. Sadly, the size was accurately described by the seller but for this style of hat, it proved just too small for my head. It was securely packaged for shipment and arrived very quickly. I am very pleased with the quality of the hat and the value of the item, and the transaction was entirely satisfactory in all regards but for the fact that the hat is too snug. I give the seller an EXCELLENT rating.

The plates arrived promptly and were in perfect condition. The packing was first rate - they were well padded and sat well within lots of padding in the box. The price was good. I hope to have the opportunity to buy from this seller again!
