*RARE* 1849 "HISTORY OF GREECE" GEORGE GROTE VOLUME 5 WITH MAP ANTIQUE BOOK (P6) Great *RARE* antique leather fine binding hardback book from 1849 by George Grote on the history of Greece. Volume 5 only. Photo 3 shows the lovely marbled design page edges. Contains illustrations including a fold out map (see photo 22). Photo 2 shows a missing section on the bottom of the spine cover but does not impact on page binding inside. Photo 23 shows some wear to the top of the spine cover. Photo 24 shows antique pen writing from 1858 on an initial blank page but binding and other pages inside are in superb condition especially as the book is 175 years old.
