Thank you for shopping Offered for sale is this Heirloom Family Bible Heirloom Family Bible by DeVore & Sons of Wichita, Kansas (c)1988 From the copyright page, DeVore & Sons has been publishing Bibles since at least the 1950's Features a beautiful mahogany red faux leather cover with gold-gilded title, gold-gilded page edges, sharp-looking ribbon bookmark King James Version with both Old and New Testaments plus additional materials Red-letter edition - The words of Jesus are printed in red Large size, measures 12" x 9" x 3" Text is medium sized font, larger than most smaller Bibles but not technically "large print." If you wear reading glasses you'll likely need them for this Bible. In the front of this Bible are personalization pages for the owner to add family notes. Included are a genealogy record, registers for children, grandchildren and so on all the way up to great great grandparents. There's also an important events page to note things like family members serving in the military, first home purchases or whatever you like. Reference aids include a guide for religious workers, alphabetical harmony of the four Gospels, parable and miracles of the Bible, a calendar for daily reading, a guide to the laws of the Bible, Bible quotations, a Biblical Dictionary, and an index to the Scriptures plus color maps. Nice sections with Biblical quotations for family events such as weddings and funerals. Overall a very complete Bible Disclosure: On the cover is a small ding about 1/2" long that looks as if something scraped it (please refer to photos). This flaw is noticeable but not glaring and does not go through the cover, just appears as damage to the outer cover. No other damage. All pages intact, no tears or creases, no writing. If not for the flaw I described I'd be listing this as "like new." Overall, this Bible is in wonderful condition and would make a great gift for a loved one, or just to have to start making notes about the family.
