Description
The turntable and AM/FM tuner are fully functioning and work great without hiccup. However, both tape decks are not functioning. I am quite certain, as with most tape decks of this age, the belts have gone bad. An easy fix that could be a fun project once you find replacement belts. The removable dust cover is minorly scuffed up but the rest of the unit is in very good condition. This was originally a part of a quadrophonic surround sound setup, but does not come with the original speakers. Beyond the proprietary powered RCA speaker outputs (8ohm fronts, 10ohm surrounds), it has stereo line-level RCA input, and antenna connections on the back, as well as a 1/4 inch headphones output on the front. This system can power passive speakers. However, without the original speakers (or ones like it with power over RCA), you will need to do some tinkering. The simplest solution is RCA to speaker wire adapters, which can be purchased for cheap. Unit comes with original manual.

This Fisher Studio Standard MC-617 turntable/tuner works perfectly—smooth playback, clear AM/FM reception. The tape decks need belt replacements, a common fix for vintage gear. The dust cover has light scuffs, but the unit itself is in great shape. Ideal for vinyl lovers who enjoy a little DIY project. Doesn’t include original speakers, but still a solid find for the price!
