Fisher AD-844 Compact Disc Player Vintage 1984 - For Parts This player powers on, the drawer opens and closes fine, but it will not read any discs. The item is in good cosmetic shape, the front face is in great shape, there are some minor scratches around the edge of the face place and on the case, perfect for somebody that wants to restore a classic CD player. I picked up this player to try and repair it. This player was manufactured in 1984. I've replaced two zener diodes that were corroded, checked all capacitors (all OK), and various voltages (all OK). I believe the issue is the laser assembly itself, which it takes a MLP-1C, but I don't have any further time and resources to tinker with it. Selling as-is, no warranties and no returns, please.
