Description
Here is a new compilation published and archived by Brad Boyle collecting several Japanese sci-fi and fantasy fanzines from the late 1970s. One volume of a monumental collection of kaiju and monster self-published fanzines, this collection assembles homespun 'zines that were printed in very low numbers. It's inspiring to see the enthusiasm represented in early kaiju fandom, even if the grammar isn't always perfect and the information, often second or third-hand, is not always accurate. I should know as also included in this lot is issue #1 of my Monsters of Japan, a fledgling effort published when I was 12 years old. It is an original copy from 1977, so if the information contained within is not always scintillating it is an authentic if marginal contribution to the kaiju kraze of the 1970s!
