[About Greatsaurus] In the late 1970s known as the third monster boom the Poppy Greatsaurus Series and Kingsaurus Series (sold from 1978 to 1981) appeared. They are collection toys from &quotPoppy" a group company of Bandai. The biggest feature of the series is the footprints molded into both feet of all the characters. Because of this this series was sometimes called the &quotfoot-shaped series&quot. It was developed in the Ultra Monster Series and the Toho Monster Series. At the time Greatsaurus was developed in giant size with only selected characters from the Kingsaurus Series. Greatsaurus Godzilla was later remodeled into lamps and telephone receivers and lined up in fancy shops. As part of a project to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Godzilla the historic Godzilla soft vinyl &quotGreatsaurus Godzilla" was faithfully reproduced and reprinted with a new mold.
