Beautifully bound in full leather with gilt decorations and lettering on the covers and spine, as well as gilt accents along the edges of the covers. Marbled end papers. Gilt top page edges. Ribbon page marker. There is a fold-out map of the Burgundy vineyards at the front. The book discusses Burgundy and its wines, its climates, the way of managing the vines, vinifying the grapes, testing and marketing wines, and offers a plea for the export of bottled wine to be authorized.
