Bell, Evan's mother-in-law. Also signed by the person in charge of the binding on a separate certificate of authenticity tipped onto the endpaper. Three books in one: Lafayette Comes to America; Lafayette Joins the American Army and Lafayette and the Close of the American Revolution. Thick leather hardcover, with 24-k gold spine and cover details. Top page edges gilt. Folding maps. 170, 364, and 425 pages, plus appendices and indexes.
