1826 AFRICA Denham Travels in Sierra Leonne SLAVE Rescue MAPS Sahara Desert 2v Dixon Denham was a 19 th -century English explorer who is best known for his short-lived career as governor of Sierra Leonne. In 1822, Denham embarked upon an African voyage with Scottish explorer Hugh Clapperton. While there, Denham and crew encountered numerous slave-trade exploits and did their part to rescue slaves. Following the mission, Denham aided the British plan to help settle rescued slaves in England. The narrative of Denham and Clapperton’s voyage was published by Murray in a fine, two-volume work filled with impressive full-page engravings depicting local tribes and people groups, culture and dress, architecture, and African landscapes. Packaging was great and it's condition was phenomenal better than described and shown in the photos!!!! A fantastic value for it's condition compared to others on eBay. Shipping was fast but UPS did make it a complete hassle. Not the sellers fault by any means as he was quite willing to help when I messaged him! Overall a great experience except for UPS lol. I'm very excited to have this as part of my art deco bar collection!

The book arrived in a timely manner. It was in excellent condition and was package very good. I love the book, just didn't realize that it was in French. But that's ok, I still love. I have a lot of stuff on Joan of Arc, Stained glass window, bronze statue and pictures. Would definitely buy from him again.
