In these four volumes Dugdale provides a fascinating look at the countries in the Georgian era. Not only looking at the the history of the countries, Dugdale looks into the improvement and contemporary state of the arts and sciences during the interesting era of the Romantics and the beginnings of the Industrial Revolution. Arranged by county, this work is often seen split up and bound in the different counties to be sold separately, so it is unique to see all the counties bound in four volumes like this. Interspersed in the text with biographical details of many eminent and remarkable historical figures. CONDITION In a full marbled calf binding. Externally, smart. Very speedy delivery and extremely well packaged. The book is in wonderful condition for age, better I think than described. This now sits alongside a companion volume, another work of Worcestershire historian and antiquarian, John Noak. I very much looking forward to reading it. As for price, I snatched the offer and am extremely pleased that I did. This seller is a perfect find on eBay and I would purchase from them without hesitation, saved seller, excellent.

The packaging was both robust and thoughtful, which always makes a most distinct difference. I am grateful for this great value and for your having accepted my offer. Thank you so much, Katherine, for a truly pluperfect transaction.
