Each volume has a bookplate for one, 'William Charles Smith', to the front paste-down. CONDITION Uniformly bound in full calf. Externally, very smart with some rubbing to the extremities and marks to the boards. Spines are darkened. Some loss to the leather of the front board and lower spine of the 'Norfolk Tour'. The rear joint of, 'Western parts of England', is starting but still firm. The lower rear joint of, 'Forest Scenery', is cracked but firm. The rear hinges of, 'An Essay on Prints', 'Norfolk Tour', and, 'Western Parts of England', are starting but still very firm. Front hinge of, 'Norfolk Tour', is strained but firm. Bookplate to the front paste-downs of each volume. Light offsetting to the edges of the free endpapers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages lightly age-toned but otherwise generally bright and clean with light spotting throughout. Offsetting surrounding the plates in the illustrated volumes. Closed tear of about one inch to the folding map on page 51 of, 'Forest Scenery'. Pencil annotations to page 60 of 'Forest Scenery'. The front blank of, 'Forest Scenery', is loosening Overall Condition: Very Good GLOSSARY OF TERMS Overall Condition (Dustwrapper condition rating is shown after that for the book itself, where a dustwrapper is present) Fine - Very well preserved copy showing very little wear Very Good Indeed - Only one or two minor faults, really a very attractive copy Very Good - Quite a wide term meaning no major faults but probably several smaller ones often expected given the age of the book, but still a respectable copy Good - Meaning not very good.
