Tall), 180 pages., 7 (of 8) leaves of maps. Plate with US Map is missing; all other 7 maps are present. Errors in paging: pages 45, 59, 123, 164 are misnumbered 54, 56, 12, 166. Very scarce early copy of this children's geography which was first published In 1790. CONDITION: Leather covers are edge-worn and rubbed. Heavy wear at spine ends, moderate wear at corners. The endpapers are foxed and stained. The Book is tightly bound. The Contents including all text and plates are complete except for the missing United States map. The text pages are foxed and some have light stains at the fore margins; one leaf has a closed tear at the blank lower margin. The seven extant maps are complete and intact with some foxing and light spotting. Purchase from as far away as NZ was unusual but the postage options etc were promptly given and the book bought, which arrived after only 2 weeks or so, and in excellent condition - thanks seller and postal services! If I hadn't been so keen to get the book - and now delighted with it - the post alone ~ NZ$100 might have been an obstacle. Fortunately I am rarely tempted to spend so many $$$ for one book so took my chances with delivery etc. Glad I did - book at least as good as described.
