Description
The Universal Magazine Vol. XXXI. - 1762 South America Isaac Newton Engravings &c. Original 1762 volume, July - December+ supplement. A lovely curious volume with a splendid handcolored map of South America, a scarce map, as well as other engravings of note such as botanicals and science experiments and light. Other content included eyes, history of Brazil, Portugal, burning-glasses or mirrors, Newton on colors, observations on Gunpowder, Attack & siege on Havana, Ginseng, &c. &c. Marbled boards with leather spine - worn and scuffed but holding still, paper inside is quite nice, clean, strong and crisp if a bit wavy. Map is in very good shape beyond small tear at bottom. Colorful intriguing volume with a great old map. Please see the photos. ****** We ship swiftly and with safety in mind. Thank you.

Bookseller was delightful, and even left me a lovely note in the package, which was beautifully wrapped. The product was exactly as advertised, and the bookseller even left bookmarks in the particular locations of the relevant sections, which I greatly appreciated. Would definitely do business with them again.
